Year Round School
Year-round school gives your child access to the more critical element of academic success: Time. It is another way STRIDE Academy increases academic performance, closes the achievement gap and ensures our students stay one step ahead. Here are just three ways we've seen our year-round academic calendar get results:

Increased AchievementSTRIDE students outperform state academic standards. This is partly because STRIDE teachers spend only 2-3 days reviewing after summer break compared to the 5-6 weeks spent in the conventional school calendar. |

Fresh and FocusedSTRIDE Academy students receive two-week breaks every 10 weeks, allowing them time to refresh themselves and participate in other enrichment activities. This also gives teachers a break and leads to decreased stress. |

How It Works
Contrary to popular belief, students in year-round schools do not stay in school all year. In most cases, they are in school the same number of days as students on traditional calendars. Instead of a three-month vacation, year round schedules include several shorter vacations, or intersessions, spaced throughout the year. These intersessions offer an additional opportunity for academic and personal enrichment.
